Even though Christmas has wrapped up, Xavier Legette is still in the festive spirit. However, his teammates might not be too thrilled about his latest gift — a generous serving of raccoon meat!

The wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers brought plenty of this unusual dish to share with his teammates the day after devouring it for his Christmas dinner. He had enough left over to even offer some to the media present!

Many were caught off guard by the appearance of the unconventional dish, which bore more resemblance to ground turkey or pulled pork than anything else!

However, those brave enough to try it claimed they actually enjoyed the unique flavor!

With a huge grin, Legette watched as curious teammates gathered around his locker to get a taste, proudly declaring, “It ain’t gamey, it’s just good!”

This 23-year-old South Carolina native has been singing the praises of raccoon meat ever since he introduced it to his Thanksgiving meal earlier this month.
