Aaron Carter Not Included in Grammys’ in Memoriam Segment, Causing Outrage Among Fans.

Are you wondering why Aaron Carter was missing from the in memoriam segment at Sunday’s Grammy Awards? Fans were not happy with the oversight and wanted to know why the singer, who died in November at the age of 34, was not included in the tribute. Read on to find out why Aaron Carter was not included in the in memoriam segment of the Grammys and why another artist who passed away was not included either.

The Grammys annual tribute honors recording artists and musicians who have passed away in the past year through photos and music. Loretta Lynn, Migos rapper Takeoff, and Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie were among the late stars remembered in the segment. Carter was included in the list of those we lost on the Grammy’s site in the printed program for those on site, but was not obviously included in the televised portion.

So why wasn’t Aaron Carter included in the in memoriam segment? CNN reached out to the Recording Academy for comment but did not receive a response. Another artist who wasn’t in the segment was Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, but there was a reason for that. Hawkins died in March 2022 at the age of 50, days before that year’s Grammys ceremony and was honored at that time.

It’s a shame that Aaron Carter was not included in the in memoriam segment of Sunday’s Grammy Awards, but there is a reason Taylor Hawkins was not included either. It’s important to remember the lives of the artists we lost this past year and to recognize their contributions to the music industry.
